چکیده

from normal mouse mammary gland showed some growthstimulating activity. SF from the kidney of tumor-bearing or multiparous old mice showed high activity, while that from tumor-free virgin young mice did not show significant activity. Hyperplastic alveolar nodules of the mammary gland showed activity as high as that of tumors. The growth-stimulating factor in the SF was precipitated with 60% saturated ammonium sulfate, and the ammonium sulfate precipitate was further separated by Sephadex G-100 column chromatography.

Detection of Mouse Cytomegalovirus in Adenocarcinoma Bearing Razi/A Mice: Molecular and Pathological Studies

Despite a lot of research, the etiology and progression of breast cancer remain incompletely understood. Recently, human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) was reported as a risk factor for breast cancer. The aim of this study was to know whether breast cancer could be caused by cytomegalovirus or not? In this experiment seventeen samples of RAZI/A mice with spontaneous breast cancer were being gathered fr...

Growth of Human Mammary Tumor Xenografts in Mice Oligonucleotides and Small Interfering RNAs Suppresses Colony-Stimulating Factor-1 Blockade by Antisense

Colony-stimulating factor (CSF)-1 is the primary regulator of tissue macrophage production. CSF-1 expression is correlated with poor prognosis in breast cancer and is believed to enhance mammary tumor progression and metastasis through the recruitment and regulation of tumorassociated macrophages. Macrophages produce matrix metalloproteases (MMPs) and vascular endothelial growth factor, which a...

A growth-stimulating factor released by cultured mouse mammary tumor cells.

Medium from mouse mammary tumor cell cultures con tained a growth-stimulating factor. The assay for growthstimulating factor was performed on density-inhibited cul tures of mouse embryo cells. Addition of nondialyzed or dialyzed mouse mammary tumor cell culture medium caused an increase in DNA synthesis and mitosis in densityinhibited cells. Dialyzed medium was more active than non dialyzed med...
